Elizabeth Betty Settle

Settle, Betty G. Elizabeth (Betty) Garner Settle, age 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 30th. She was a devoted, joyful and loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed tremendously by her family and friends. Betty was born in Rockmart, GA on January 24, 1929 to Grace and Mose Garner and was one of five children. She was married to Bill Settle for 50 wonderful years, until his death in 1999. She was a charter member of Briarcliff Baptist Church and a very active participant in the church community for over 50 years. She loved her family, friends, her Sunday School class, the beach and the mountains, her many pet dogs and playing bridge. She especially loved the Christmas season. She is survived by her three children, Cliff Settle (Linda), Cathy Clark (Stan) and Dan Settle (Catherine). She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Jennifer Blackmon (Justin), Brian Settle, Charlie & Grace Clark, Andrew & Thomas Settle and one great granddaughter, Avery Blackmon. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25 at Briarcliff Baptist Church, followed by a reception at 1703 Timberland Road, Atlanta GA.
