Ernest Ben Wofford

Ernest Benjamin "Ben"  Wofford, age 82 of Conyers, Georgia passed away Friday,  January 24, 2014. He was the son of the late Dewitt and Pearl Sorrells Wofford.   Mr. Wofford  was a member of Evangel Community Church, where he was an  active member and a  deacon for 20 years, and United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.  He is  predeceased by his wife of 66 years  Joyce Myra Nell Daniel Wofford,  sister Frances Bombara, and   son in law, Shelton DeGarmo. He is survived by Children:  Mike Wofford and wife Susan, Covington, Georgia, Patti Wofford and Brian, Monroe, Georgia, Audrey DeGarmo, Conyers, Georgia, Vicki Westbrook and husband Tony, Covington, Georgia, Pam Langley and husband Tony, Winder, Georgia. Grandchildren; Christy Kill, Joseph Harvey, Ben Wofford, Matthew Wofford, Summer Wofford, Chloe Langley, and Anthony Langley. Great Grandchildren; Parker Kill, and Presley Kill. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 27, 2014 at 10:00am at Evangel Community Church. Pastor Tim Gross will officiate. The body will lie in state at 9:30am, Monday, interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8PM on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Wages and Sons Funeral Home 1040 Main Street Stone Mountain, Georgia, 770-469-9811.
