Evelyn Earle Robey Patton

Evelyn Earle Robey Patton, 90, of Alpharetta Georgia passed away on April 16, 2026. Evelyn was born on October 9, 1935, to Samuel Clifford Earle and Bessie Inez Brown, and spent much of her childhood in LaGrange and Newnan, Georgia and Anderson, South Carolina. She was a graduate of Newnan High School, earned her B.S. in Home Economics at the University of Georgia and her M.S in Early Childhood Education at Mercer University- Atlanta Campus. Though she lived her final years in Alpharetta, she lived in Norcross and Lawrenceville Georgia for more than half her life and considered it home.

Evelyn was a dedicated teacher who touched the lives of countless students. She enjoyed dancing, music, gardening, traveling, was a cat lover, and always enjoyed reading a good book. She was a faithful member at Pilgrimage Presbyterian and later Prospect United Methodist as a member of the Seekers Class. In her retirement years, Evelyn embraced her love of traveling, making jaunts all over the US including Alaska, as well as Canada and Europe. She also enjoyed shorter one-day and two-day trips with all her buddies at Travel on the Go, which were as much about the journey visiting with friends, as they were about the destination.

Evelyn is survived by her three children and two step children with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

5. Patricia “Tricia” Barnhart (Ethan Barnhart, Jacob “Jake” and Tori Barnhart, Alexis “Alex” Barnhart).

Evelyn was predeceased by many dear to her; she will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Wages & Sons Funeral Home (1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville GA 30046) on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00am. Visitation precedes the service beginning at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Organization or Prospect United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, GA.
