Evelyn A. Krauth, 100, a resident of Snellville, Georgia, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018. She was born in Wahkon, Minnesota and graduated from high school in Minneapolis. During her working career she worked at the Minnesota Health Department, Minnesota Counsil for Alcohol Problems, Park Forest Bank in the Chicago area, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Berea, Ohio, Foote and Davies Publishing in Doraville, and Bell Labs in Norcross. She retired at the age of 62. She was a long-time member of Tucker First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Krauth was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Ellen Hallsten, her two brothers Norman and Clarence, her sister Florence, her first husband Morris Kise, and her second husband Oliver Krauth.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Wayne and Judy Kise of Lilburn, GA, a stepson Chip Krauth of Charleston, SC; grandchildren Jeff Kise (Amy Ellen), of Carnesville, GA, Jason Kise (Renee) of Rome, GA; twelve great-grandchildren, Hannah Kise, William Kise, Hope Kise, Mercy Kise, David Kise, Jonathan Kise, Stephen Kise, Philip Kise, Timothy Kise, John Kise, Nathan Kise, and Benjamin Kise.
Evelyn was an avid bridge player. She also enjoyed traveling, playing the organ, writing poetry, and spending time with her family.
The memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of Tucker,5095 Lavista Rd, Tucker, GA 30084. The Reverend Owen Skinner will officiate the service. A reception for family and friends will follow the service at the church.
