Felicia Lynn Strobhert

April 12, 1949 — September 7, 2021

The family of Felicia Lynn Strobhert, nee Storti, regrets to announce her passing on September 7, 2021, at the age of 72 of complications due to Covid-19 coupled with the long-term challenges of Multiple Sclerosis. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Race to Erase MS. Felica was born in Youngstown, Ohio on April 12, 1949. She grew up in Hubbard, Ohio, a suburb of Youngstown. Her parents were Louis Storti and Edith (Williams) Storti. She received a B.A. degree in Education from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio and a two-year degree in computer programming from Dekalb Technical College, now Georgia Piedmont Technical College, in Clarkston, Georgia.

She spent her career in local government in the Atlanta, Georgia area, first in several departments of the State of Georgia, and then several more with the City of Atlanta, retiring in 2004 as a Financial Systems Programmer Analyst Supervisor for the Department of Finance. Felicia and her husband Joseph E. (Joe) Strobhert Jr. met in the Stein Club, a bar on Atlanta’s Peachtree Street in 1972 and were married on October 31 of that year. They have been together 49 years.

She is survived by her husband Joe and their two feline children Mouse and Emma, by her sister Lois Van Dress and Lois’s husband Andy of Puyallup, Washington, and by her brother Christopher Storti of Tacoma, Washington. She is also missed by her close friends Nancy Bartlett of Decatur, Georgia, Jocelyn Ross of Atlanta, Georgia and Margie Wilson of Port St. Lucie, Florida, all of whom kept her spirits up during a long illness.

Felicia is a devout Roman Catholic, although not in accord with much of the dogma like many other more progressive souls. There will be no physical service at this time to safeguard everyone from the spread of Covid. In accord with her wishes, she will be cremated. The family wishes to encourage everyone to get vaccinated to protect themselves, their loved ones, and the rest of us.
