Ferney E. Hicken

Ferney E. Hicken was born November 12, 1945 to the late Harold E. Hicken of London, England and Irene McQuaig Hicken of Waycross, GA. He departed this life in the early morning of January 6, 2017. He was in the 3rd Battalion 7th Infantry 199th Infantry Brigade of the United States Army. He was the recipient of The Purple Heart, 4 Star Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal twice, Expert Infantry Badge and Expert Marksman Badge. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Margaret "Ann" Hicken; son, Bryan (Joyce) Hawkins; daughters, Connie (Edwin) Boller and Lisa (Jess) Wallis; four grandchildren, Brandi Hawkins, Madison and Landon Boller and Reese Wallis. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Minister Mike McGuire officiating.
