Florine Shields

Mrs. Florine Clark Shields was born November 23, 1934 to Fred and Mary L. Clark in Atlanta, Georgia. On October 16, 2021, Florine Shields passed away peacefully in her sleep. It is truly amazing that she lasted long enough to reach 86, a pinnacle that few embrace. She was united in holy matrimony to John Shields in 1951.

Florine came from a large family. She had several brothers and sisters, William, Nathaniel, Howard, Elbert, Norman, Josephine, Dorothy, Pora B., and Frances. All of whom have proceeded her in death. Despite her large family Florine always made time to help others. She always provided support and love for her family by baby-sitting, running an errand, and taking to doctor’s appointments. Aunt Flo would never say no to anyone no matter tired she was.

Florine was better known as “Aunt Flo” to everyone in the family. She would do anything to help any family member that was going through hard times. She had a caring soul.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one surviving son, seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and friends.

Florine was taken from our world, her imprint of who she was will never leave this earth. Until we meet again in Heaven we will miss you always
