Frances Elizabeth Ditto Flynn

Frances Elizabeth Ditto Flynn, age 81, of Suwanee, Georgia, passed away on August 23, 2016, in Duluth, Georgia. A Memorial in her honor will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at Johns Creek Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Wages & Sons. Frances was born in Berkley Springs, West Virginia to on March 13, 1935. She graduated from Maryville High School in Maryville, Tennessee. Frances was a stay-at-home mom for many years, and later worked for the Department of Agriculture. She enjoyed her co-workers and her time in the Washington, DC and Gainesville, Florida offices, always learning new things and traveling to many locations around the country to share information for the DOA. She was loved and respected by everyone she worked with. Frances was lovingly known as “mom” to many over the years due to the energy she put into helping others through difficult situations and encouraging each person to become the best they could be at all they did. Frances is survived by her three children, Vickie Johnson, James Flynn, and Mary White; her sister, Margaret Ann Cunningham; her grandchildren, Zachary Lawson, Matthew Lawson, Jaimi Flynn, Jesse Flynn, and Ian White; and her great-grandchildren, Hanju Lawson, Gabriella Lawson, Mikayla Lawson, and Raven Lawson. We will all sorely miss our sister, mother, and granny. She was the glue that held our family together.  She wanted us all to be happy and love one another - this was how she lived her life. Donations may be given, in memory of Frances, to the Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. The family of Frances wishes to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the Peachtree Christian Hospice for the love and comfort provided to our dear sister, mother, and granny while she lived her last days with us.
