Frances Flowers Ergle, formerly of Stone Mountain, Ga., passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014. She was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia, on February 8 th , 1921 to James Raymond and Audrey Lily Rawlins Flowers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Etto Ergle, of nearly 50 years. She was an active member of Stone Mountain First Baptist Church, the Women’s Missionary Union, the Joy Sunday School Class, the Grandmother’s Club, Stone Mountain Women’s Club, and The Golden Group of Gum Creek Presbyterian Church. She is lovingly remembered and survived by her children, Alice (Mike) Wallace; Peggy(Ken) Watkins; Dan(Susan)Ergle. Grandchildren: Alison(Billy)Garrett; Shannon(Kevin)Davis; Jennifer(Jeff)Stoddard; Melissa(Thomas)Rister; Dan(Brittany)Ergle; Amanda(John)Malette; and Emily Ergle. Great-Grandchildren: Briley and Braden Garrett; Laura, Micah, and Sierra Davis; Taylor and Hunter Stoddard; Luke Rister; Oliva Ergle; Lexi and Drake Malette. Sisters: Vertice Blalock; Marie(David)Moore; Mae(Herman)Finnell; Ray(Shelia)Flowers; and Ann(Bill)Mewborn. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family thanks the caregivers at Merryville Assisted Living, Oxford, Georgia, and Abbey Hospice, Social Circle, Georgia for easing our mother’s journey through her final moments. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 25 2014, at 3PM from the Chapel of Wages and Sons Stone Mountain, Georgia with Dr. Dan Parker and Reverend Claire Yoder officiating. Interment to follow at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 4PM until 8PM. Wages and Sons Stone Mountain Chapel is in charge of the arrangements 770-469-9811.
