May 1, 1931 — October 25, 2016

Freddie Cannon, of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2016. He is survived by his daughters, Tracy Moxley, Terri Sullivan and husband Daniel Sullivan, Sandi Parson and husband Alan Parson, grandchildren, Carl Grubbs, Jessica Sullivan, Lauren Huntsman, and Sarah Parson, great-granddaughters, Anna and Elizabeth Huntsman. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Glenda Cannon, and his parents, Fred Cannon and Geraldine Cannon of Atlanta. Freddie was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all. Freddie worked for his father’s commercial painting company before beginning his long career at Southern Railroad, a career which lasted over thirty years. He was a gifted athlete who began his passion for sports as a teenager, playing football and baseball at Grady High School, along with boxing at the local YMCA, then playing many years in a softball league, competing in a bowling league, and playing ALTA tennis. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Glenda, playing golf with family and friends, watching sports and movies, playing games of Rummy with his grandchildren, and especially loved to work out daily at his favorite local gym, gaining a wonderful group of friends there.
