G. Scott Tyler

G. Scott Tyler, age 82, of Stone Mountain, GA passed away August 13, 2011. He completed undergraduate work at University of California, Los Angeles, Doctor of Medicine at George Washington University in D.C. and graduate training in Neurology at Northwestern University, Dr. Tyler practiced neurology for more than 30 years in Scottsdale, AZ and then conducted medical research for 10 years. Surviving are his lifetime companion of 23 years, Anna Andes, children, Cyndy Tyler of Phoenix, AZ; Glen Tyler of Richmond, TX; Nancy Steiner of Gilbert, AZ; Brady Tyler of Mesa, AZ; and grandchildren Ryan, Andrew, Cierra, Conner, Savanna, Jared, Owen, Aly, Isaiah, and Torie. Other survivors include Anna's daughters, Linda Andes and Karen Andes of Atlanta, and grandson, Ian. A Celebration of Life will be held August 27. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in his name to Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047 or to Embracing Hospice, 5775 Peachtree Branch Suite D580, Atlanta 30342.
