Garfield Leigh Riley

After years of battling renal disease, Garfield (Gary) Leigh Riley, age 51, passed away peacefully at Emory Johns Creek hospital, with his beloved family at his side on Saturday, December 24th, 2016. Gary was born in Kingston, Jamaica on March 9th 1965, where he attended Meadowbrook High School. He attended Manatee Community College in Sarasota Florida where he studied information technology. Gary’s love for computers and technology led to jobs at Sears and CompUSA in Sarasota. Gary moved to Atlanta, GA where he continued working in IT for Leighton Technologies. Gary worshiped at First Atlanta Church of Atlanta in Atlanta, Ga. Gary is survived by his mother Cynthia Riley, his father Raphael Riley, step mother Carol Burton-Riley, his sister Suzette (Maurice) Thompson, his niece Ava, nephew Cameron Celebration of life for Gary will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday January 5th 2017, at First Baptist of Atlanta.
