Gary Lee Walls

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Lee Walls, age 71, of Loganville, Georgia, who passed away on April 23, 2025. Gary was born on June 6, 1953, in Cumming, Georgia, and spent his early years in the town he loved, before eventually settling in Loganville.

A man of great strength, dedication, and love, Gary was known for his passion for building things — whether it was a project around the house or the perfect lawn. He took immense pride in his work, always striving for perfection. As much as he loved his Georgia football and listening to the Beatles, his greatest love was for his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, and his unwavering devotion to them will forever be remembered.

Gary worked for Scientific Atlanta and Scientific Research Corporation for many years, where he made lifelong friendships and contributed to the success of the companies. His work ethic and commitment were as remarkable as his love for his family.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lydia Walls. Gary leaves behind his brother Carroll Walls (Judy), his sister Martha Fauscett (Lanier), his beloved wife, Mary Sue Walls, and his children, Jenna Walls Bryant (Donnie) and Kimberly Walls Freeman (Jon). He is also survived by his stepchildren, David Ayers (Kim), Mary Richardson (Scott), and a host of grandchildren: Gunner, Brooks, Easton, Jack, Ben, Katie, Sam, Harry, Holly Walker, Austin Parker, Zoe, Micah, and Zane Ayers, as well as his great-granddaughter, Hadley Walker and several nieces of nephews. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville GA 30046. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to CURE Childhood Cancer in Gary’s memory.
