On the morning of January 14th, Heaven gained a sweet, loving soul.  George Curtis Kenyon (Curt), 57, and a gentle giant, pre-deceased by his parents Clyde W. and Anne Brooks Kenyon. He is survived by his devoted wife, Diane, who has cared for him selflessly with much love, skill and humor;  sister, Lori Kenyon Huffman (Allen); mother-in-law, Agnes Williams; brother and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Curt had a life-long fascination with Civil War History and archeology, and life-long compassion for critters large and small, especially cats.  He graduated from Douglas S. Freeman High School in 1976,  enlisting immediately in the U.S. Marine Corp where he served four proud years, earning a sharpshooter status. He served his country during a time in which it was not popular to be in the military, but Curt was a man of strong moral fiber and always tried to follow his sense of doing what was right. He went on to serve three years in the U.S. Army, serving most of that enlistment in Germany as a paralegal.  After his honorable discharge in the 1980's, he joined Phillip Morris Cigarette Manufacturing in Concord, N.C.  Curt and Diane met in Concord and enjoyed 23 wonderful years of marriage.  May he rest in peace in the arms of God.  He will be deeply missed.
