Gerald Lee Pattillo

Gerald Lee Pattillo went to be with his Lord Tuesday, June 5, 2018. He was born in Atlanta, Ga on March 1, 1930, and graduated from Murphy High School. Gerald then graduated from Georgia Tech majoring in Industrial Engineering. He worked as an engineer at Western Electric/AT&T his entire career. Gerald was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Merritt Pattillo, his parents, Gerald A and Jesse Pattillo. He is survived by sons Jerry (Beth) Pattillo, and Charles Pattillo; daughters Linda (Ben) Sawyer and Leigh Pattillo Wilkinson; Grandchildren, Scott (Adrian) Pattillo, Jeff Pattillo, Brian (Taylor) Pattillo, David (Rebecca) Pattillo, Keri (Brian) Fosse, Andrew (Karen) Sawyer, Eric Sawyer, Molly Sawyer, Andrew Smith, Daniel (Bailey) Smith, Michael Smith; and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister MaryAnn Brand, and brother Mike (Detra) Pattillo. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, June 9th 2018 at Lawrenceville First Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Holley officiating. Interment will follow at Decatur City Cemetery.
