Dr. Gregory Anthony Raymond Trollope passed away on December 26, 2012, at the age of 75 after a long illness. Greg was born in England in 1937 and educated there, receiving a BS in Chemical Engineering from Newcastle and a PhD from Birmingham Universities. He came to America in 1962 with his wife, Marion, for what was originally supposed to be just two years. They first settled near Niagara Falls, NY, where their children, Zoë, Karen, John and Ian, were born. Subsequently, they lived in West Chester, PA, and Richmond, VA, before moving to Atlanta in 1992. After a long career in Process Improvement and in Management in the Chemical Industry, Greg retired. Since then, he has enjoyed rebuilding used computers for charitable causes, hiking, listening to jazz and playing poker and bridge. A gentle man with a kind heart, skilled hand, tremendous intellect and a wonderful sense of humor, Greg is survived by his wife, four children and six grandchildren. The family would like to thank Sunrise Assisted Living of Decatur and Amity Hospice for caring for Greg so tenderly this last year. Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta, 1911 Cliff Valley Way Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30329.
