Hattie Spivey Almand

Hattie Spivey Almand, born July 29, 1928, to the union of Harry Spivey and Florence Stephens Spivey, departed this life on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 62 years, Frank C. Almand, Jr.; her children, David Elaine Almand, Glenn Rhonda Almand, and Beth David Sheppard; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother; one sister; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones. Hattie Almand was a life-long member of Zion Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, GA. All who were privileged to know her were touched by her strong Christian faith and blessed by her loving kindness and wisdom. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Lanny Myers officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family will accept flowers or donations to Zion Baptist Church, c/o Walter Sheppard, P.O.
