Helen Marene Johnson

Helen Marene Johnson, 80, of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at her home. A celebration of life service will take place at Wages & Sons Funeral Home in Stone Mountain, GA, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM.

Born in Trafford, AL on April 18, 1946, she was the seventh of nine children to mother Gertrue Welch League and father Charlie H. League. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Reno" Johnson, to whom she was married for over fifty years; father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Delphia Johnson; brothers Jack League, Calmus "Cotton" League, Charlie League Jr., Therman League; sister Martha Benway; and sister-in-law Mary Sue Patton. She is survived by her children, Kelly Lindsey (Sean), Kris Shuff (Lee), and Kasey Breedlove (John), and her four grandchildren: Seth, Lennon, Sam, and Charlotte. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Jerry League; her two sisters, Opal Wilson and Wilma Ballew; her sister-in-law, Kay Cagle; and her brother-in-law, Dean Johnson.
