Jackie Luetkemeyer, 82, beloved wife and mother, entered eternal rest on April 12, 2026. She was born in the County of Devon, England and immigrated to the United States at the age of 13, settling in Ohio with her family. She graduated from Euclid High School. Jackie married and made her home in Mentor, Ohio, where she devoted herself to caring for her family as a homemaker and later a dedicated caregiver to her parents.
Jackie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a sewing enthusiast who created beautiful home décor, clothing, costumes, and pajamas for herself, her children, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed searching for the perfect fabric for each project. Jackie had a deep love for animals, especially birds though not snakes. She found peace in nature: spending countless hours working in her garden, nurturing her flowers and plants, and visiting greenhouses.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jim Luetkemeyer; parents, Jessie Olive (née Frampton) and Lionel Stephen Dixon Smith; brother, Lionel S. D. Smith, Jr.; brother-in-laws, Gordon Gee and Al Cahen; and sister-in-law, Judith Luetkemeyer. Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family: daughters: Jill (Kevin) Sessions, Jane (Jeff) Botz, and Jennifer (Rich) Nicely; grandchildren: Eliza Jane Sessions, Sam (Peyton) Sessions, Victoria Botz, Henry Botz, Jessica Nicely, and Ryan Nicely; sister Yvonne Smith Gee; brother-in-law Buck (Suzanne) Luetkemeyer; sister-in-law Mary Luetkemeyer Cahen; nephew Chip (Kyra) Ramsey; nieces: Debbie (Marino) Woo,
Gail Gee Campanella, Katy (Dave) White, and Jacqueline Woo. Thank you to her caregivers at Ashton Senior Living-Memory Care and Georgia Hospice Care. A private graveside service will be held later at Lakeview Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made in her memory to Georgia Hospice Care: Gainesville Branch #713 (on check), mail to The Carnation Foundation–Patient With You Fund, 187 N. Church Street, Suite 201, Spartanburg, SC 29306, Attn: James Snead.
