Obituary James Edward “Pedro” Ford, 91, left us December 01, 2021, at his home in Lilburn, Georgia. James was born July 01,1930 in New York City, New York, to the late Walter Leslie Ford Sr. and Inez Riley Ford, who relocated to the United States from Barbados. He remained in New York for many years where he married and raised his 3 children. James would eventually move to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he would become the Chief Inspector of Broward County. Jimmy, also known as “Pedro”, to many, followed in his father’s footsteps as a carpenter and worked as a “Doctor”, “Aviator” and “Architect”. In his spare time, he occasionally enjoyed deep-sea diving. Jimmy was a poet at heart, who could recite a poem from just the color of your hair, an art enthusiast and was known as a great storyteller, notably stories of his beloved Harlem. Jimmy loved animals, especially his pets GiGi and Tipsy. He is Survived by: Wife, Natasha Harris-Ford, brother, William Riley “Bill” Ford (Yvette “Buppy”), daughter, Jewel Shlomi (Sonny), grandchildren, Shariff Ford, Gila Shlomi, nieces and nephews, Elizabeth “Sandy” Ford, Nicolas Ford, Akeim Ford, Renee Ford Clark (Curtis), Kenneth Ford, and a host of many more. Preceded in Death by: Parents, Walter Leslie Ford Sr., and Inez Riley Ford, Brother Walter Leslie Ford Jr., sisters, Lorraine Ford Mann (Chauncey) and Dorothy “Dottie” Ford Chase (Carl), daughter, Katharine Ford Johnson (Dale) and granddaughter Shamila Ford.
