James B. Meadows Sr.

James Benjamin Meadows, 73, died at home on January 31, 2011, after fighting ALS. Jim honorably served in the United States Marine Corp and United States Navy. He was also a Mason. Jim retired from Delta Airlines after 34 years as Director of Quality Control. He then went on to work part-time at The Home Depot in Stone Mountain for 15 years. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, sister and two brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sue; 4 children; Jimmy Meadows, Susie Burnette, JoAnn Shelton, Pam Eller and their families. He is also survived by his brother and sister in law, Ken and Diana Meadows; sister in law, Gloria Clark; brother in law and sister in law, Bill and Bee Allen; 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and his beloved friend, Mary Woods. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 4 o'clock at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel.
