James was born on June 2
nd
, 1968 to the late Ethridge and Betty Jo Patterson. He worked for Sprint as an IT Supervisor Production Operations for over 18 years. James was married to his wife Kimberly and had a beautiful little girl Samantha. He was a hard working and dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, his pal Newman and had a passion for cars.
My husband was such a wonderful and loving man. I’m not sure I can really express just how much I am going to miss him. James’ greatest strength was the ability to make everyone feel comfortable and at ease. We have been together close to 20 years and have been married for almost 14 of them. I will cherish all the wonderful memories of him with much happiness.
James was always a gentleman and always put the needs of others ahead of himself. His joviality and good nature attracted people the moment he walked in the room, and no one could forget his witty remarks and contagious smile.
Born in Kentucky, his love for cars started at a very young age with his dad and continued onwards with his daughter Samantha. James loved spending time at the racetracks, going to car events and cruising with his Mopar family. His most prized possession was his daughter Samantha. James was a wonderful father to her and I loved watching him be a part of her daily life and activities. He was also a hard working and giving man. Not only was he committed to his job – working long hours, he also gave back to the community through charity events. He also encouraged us to be involved in life; he brought out the best in us all.
James was my soul mate, my best friend and my inspiration – my steadfast rock that helped me through the good and bad times. He loved and supported us all, and was always there to help navigate through life’s challenges. James was taken from us way too soon. He may be in heaven now but I know he’s looking down on us all with a big smile on his face. James was survived by his wife Kimberly, daughter Samantha, brother Randy and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. I will not say goodbye but until we meet again. I love you my sweet husband, Rest In Peace my love.
