James Warren Webster

James "Jim" W. Webster of Atlanta passed away on January 24, 2013. Jim was treasured by his family and large circle of friends. A native of Atlanta, he graduated from Boys' High and later, Georgia Tech. A veteran of World War II, Jim served as a 1st Lt. in the Army Air Corp. He later became an accomplished painter and artist. An active member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Jim particularly enjoyed being a baritone in the church choir and Kings' Men. He also enjoyed reading, following Georgia Tech and Atlanta Falcons football, discussing philosophy, politics and religion as well as spending time with his family and friends. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth W. Cerulli of Atlanta; his nephew, James V. Cerulli of Kennesaw; and his great nieces and nephews, Chandler, Buffy, Collier & Spencer Mason of Snellville; Justin, Stacy, Trinity and Isaac of Cedar Park, TX; Jennifer and Kevin Knox of Marietta; and Allison Cerulli of Charlotte. The family will receive visitors at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on Monday from 1:00-2:00 pm. The service will begin at 2:00 pm. A graveside service for the family will follow at Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Jim would appreciate donations being made to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer's Food Bank.
