James Harold Wynn, Jr., 89, of Lawrenceville, completed his earthly race and received his eternal reward on Saturday, June 2, 2018.
He was born in Atlanta, GA, son of the late James Harold Wynn, Sr. and Julia Kay Wynn.
Mr. Wynn retired from the United States Courts as a Probation Officer. He also served in the US Navy and US Army.
He was a former member of Clarkston Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon Chairman, Deacon, Sunday School Director, Maintenance Supervisor, and on various church committees. He was an active member of First Baptist Church Grayson.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Barbara J. Wynn; sons Allen Wynn (Melinda) of Snellville and David Wynn (Sherri) of Juliette; sister Beverly Patterson of Lilburn; nephews Steve Patterson of Fridley, MN and Mike Patterson of Fort Pierce, FL; granddaughters Keilah Jones (Bradford) of Juliette, Stephanie Wynn of Statesboro, Mara Wynn (Whitney) of Woodstock, Erin Wynn of Snellville, Taylor Wynn of Macon, Kimberly Wynn of Snellville, Christina Wynn of Snellville; and great-grandson Cannon Wynn.
A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, June 6 at 4:00 pm at First Baptist Grayson with Pastor Tim Brogan officiating. Interment (private) will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, June 6 from 2:30-4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America, Seasons Hospice, and First Baptist Grayson.
