Janet "Jan" Elaine Jordan

Janet “Jan” Elaine Jordan, 71, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Loving mother of Caroline (Bill) Rabara, grandma to Luke and beloved sister of Douglas (Inge) Hoel, Brenda (Bill) Roesch and Susan Sheetz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Caroline Sealer, and her husband, Edward A. Jordan.

Jan was born on October 9, 1949, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Lebanon High School and earned her degree in Education from Lock Haven University. After several years of substitute teaching, she found her passion in teaching Alternative Education for Wyandotte and Southgate Public Schools. In addition, Jan devoted many years to volunteering with the Wyandotte Figure Skating Club for her daughter’s synchronized skating team, the fall competition and the ice show. She was an avid reader, loved camping with the Cozy Campers and the beach was her favorite place to be.

Per her wishes, Jan was cremated and her remains will be scattered, alongside her husband’s, in the ocean. Memorial contributions to honor her life may be made as the donor chooses.
