Janie Irene Roche

Janie Irene Roche, born August 10, 1951, passed away April 10, 2022 at the age of 70. She is predeceased by her mother, Betty Dean Roche. She is survived by her aunts, Virginia Hollum, Lawrenceville, Georgia, Susan Stepp (Joe), Jacksonville, Florida and a number of cousins. Janie attended Florida State University where she was the president of Delta Zeta sorority, maintaining lasting friendships with her sorority sisters throughout the years. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from University of North Florida and Master of Business Administration in Finance from Golden Gate University, San Francisco.  She served much of her professional life as a Research and Development Manager for American Software. She was a volunteer at Grady Memorial Hospital’s Rape Crisis Center for 10 years. Janie enjoyed a life of travel, attributing her wanderlust to her grandfather who took the family on amazing vacations throughout her childhood. Janie was always fiercely independent and would tell you she was proud to say she lived her life on her terms even through life’s challenges. Three of the luckiest dogs in the world were Maggie, Phoebe and Lily, who were fortunate enough to be Janie’s beloved pets over their lifetimes.  There will be no service.
