Jay Harrington

Walter Jason “Jay” Harrington, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, at the age of 59. He was born on December 9, 1966, in Macon, GA.

Jay was a proud graduate of Central Gwinnett High School, Class of 1985. He later attended Gainesville Junior College. For 16 years, he dedicated his career to serving Gwinnett County Public Schools as an Energy Control Technician, beginning his employment in September 2009.

He found joy in the simple things in life and had a variety of interests that reflected his personality and passions. He loved golf, horseback riding, watching college football, and taking care of his lawn. Jay also enjoyed working out and listening to 80s music. He was a devoted and lifelong supporter of the University of Georgia.

Jay is survived by his daughters, Jazmyne Cain and Jenna Zisoff; his grandson, Lucas Zisoff; and his extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00PM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Wages & Sons Funeral Home (1031 Lawrenceville Highway Lawrenceville, GA 30046) with a Celebration of Life service to immediately follow.
