Jean Orr Cole Mrs.

Jean Orr Cole, age 84, passed away peacefully early on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Jean was born on October 30, 1929, in Hendersonville, NC, to Denton and Mable Orr. Jean’s varied interests included singing and playing the piano, cooking and entertaining, interior decorating, knitting, needlepoint, and china painting. In 1988 Jean married the love of her life, George Cole, an Atlanta native, and spent their remaining years in Orlando and Atlanta. They were active in their Sunday School at Perimeter Church and she was involved in several civic organizations. Jean is survived by her husband, George Cole; sister, Martha York, of Louisville, KY; sons, Steve (Janet) Sherman of Chattanooga, TN; Greg (Dawn) Sherman of Bozeman, MT; step-sons Craig (Vicky) Cole of Winder, GA; Tod (Cheryl) Cole of Simi Valley, CA; treasured grandchildren Dan, Taylor, Ciera, Sara Kathryn, Weston, Sarah and Stephen; as well as nieces Kelly and Christy, and nephew Cliff. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Perimeter Church Chapel located at 9500 Medlock Bridge Road, John’s Creek, GA 30097.
