Allen Stovall, age 81, a native of Atlanta, GA, entered eternal rest on January 6, 2024. Born on July 10, 1942, to parents Jefferson Moses Stovall and Blanche Stovall, Allen lived a life rich in love, adventure, and dedication.
Allen was a skilled tool & die maker, dedicating 30 years of his life to Evans Tool & Die before retiring in 2020. His commitment to his craft was evident in the precision and care he brought to his work. Allen received his education at Southwest High School and pursued additional training in a Tool & Die trade school, showcasing his passion for continuous learning and mastery of his trade.
A man of faith, Allen was a member of the Baptist community, finding strength and comfort in his spiritual beliefs. His positive outlook on life and his unwavering courage during the past year showcased the resilience of his spirit.
Allen found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and golf. His love for the sport extended to watching golf, and he was known for his skill at the grill, especially during family gatherings. Allen’s zest for life also led him to be actively involved as a Boy Scout leader and a member of a hunting club, where he created lasting memories with friends.
Family and friends held a special place in Allen’s heart. He cared deeply for those around him, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a word of encouragement. His bravery, positive outlook, and love for life were particularly evident in the past year as he worked to regain his strength.
Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson Moses Stovall and Muriel Blanche Stovall. He is survived by his children: son, Jeffrey Stovall Jr., daughter, Hannah Foss; sisters Kay Adams and Joy Godfrey; brother Phillip Stovall; grandchildren Jeffrey Stovall III, Ashley Glavinos, Taylor Stovall, Amanda Stovall, and Connor Foss; and his great-grandchildren: Jeffrey (Jace) Stovall IV, Emma Stovall, Lilly Glavinos, along with other family members including Kim Stovall, Kaylin Stovall, and Paschal Glavinos.
A visitation will be held in his memory at Wages and Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy Lawrenceville, GA 30046, on January 14, 2024 from 2:00pm – 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Capstone Hospice, or a charity of your choice in Jeffrey Allen Stovall’s honor.
