John Oren Choate

John Oren Choate, age 86, of Grayson, GA passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Mary Cleo Choate; children, Kathy Choate of Cookville, TN; Carol Parks of Crossville, TN; Janet Stoner Bob of Roswell, GA; Toni Taylor Harry of Grayson, GA; Russ Jones Kyle of Lilburn, GA; grandchildren, John Conner, Will Conner, Jason Altschuler, Jesse Taylor, Shawn Jones and Jamie Jones; four great grandchildren; brother, Norman Choate of Summerville, SC; sister, Auzna Elizabeth Wilder of Clarkrange, TN. Mr. Choate was retired from the State of Georgia as an Investigator, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Grayson, GA. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas L. Jordan, Sr. officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Bolestown Cemetery in Alpine, TN.
