John David Davis

John D. Davis of Scottdale, Georgia went to be with the lord on Monday December 02, 2013. John was born in Monroe, North Carolina on July 31, 1921. He married Margaret Smallwood on December 23, 1945. John and Margaret were married for 50 years before she went to be with the lord. John fought in 5 campaigns in the Army during World War II under General George Patton and was awarded the Purple Heart for his Injuries in Germany. John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Davis, parents George and Bette Davis, Brothers Ralph, Jess and Stone Davis and sister Ruby “Sis” Powell. John is survived by George (son) and Jennifer Davis of Snellville, Georgia and Howard and Linda (daughter) Wooten of Lithonia, Georgia, 8 Grandchildren: Jonathan, Kristi, Kimberly, Dana, Amanda, Michael, Phillip, and Anthony. 5 Great Grandchildren: Jordan, Trey, Davis, Joshua and Dylan. 3 Great-Great Grandchildren Allen, Kylee, and Cayden.
