John Hoyt Ford, age 80, of Dacula, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Ann Reagin Ford, and parents, Cosby & Bessie Ford.  He is survived by his wife of nearly fifty years, Sandra Cook Ford; children, Dixianne Parker, Lisa & Steve Bullard, and Linda Ford; grandchildren, Hannah & Seth Bullard; brothers, Daniel & Jean Ford, Jimmy & Gloria Ford; brothers-in-law, Bobby & Nita Gresham, Gene & Martha Reagin, Richard & Margie Reagin; mother-in-law, Gladys M. Cook; sister-in-law, Barbara Cook Watson; numerous nieces & nephews.  John worked for Sloan Paper Company for 43 years.  He was a combat veteran in the Korean Conflict and served on the destroyer, USS Herbert J. Thomas.  John was active as a member and deacon at Lithonia First Baptist Church and was a current and faithful member of North Metro First Baptist Church.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Dr. Frank Cox officiating.  Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park.
