John Oscar Huffman, Jr

June 1, 1934 — January 3, 2014

John O. Huffman, Jr., age 79 of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Friday, January 3, 2013. A native of Greenville, SC, John served on a submarine in the United States Navy in the Korean War. He attended Clemson University and had a long career as an Industrial Engineer in the textile industry. He was a loving father and grandfather that enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, traveling and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by parents John O. Huffman, Sr. and Rachel Bates Huffman. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Elsa Huffman of Lawrenceville; son Mark Huffman (Nancy) of Cumming, GA., daughter Inger Fields (Jason) of Milton, GA; grandchildren Anna Huffman, Harrison and Abby Fields; sister Joan Cranford of Greenville, SC and brother Carroll Huffman (Lee) of Huntsville, AL; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends, Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, GA. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date.
