John Wylie Ivey

John Wylie Ivey, age 90, of Stone Mountain, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday March 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Merritt Ivey; daughter, Claudia Ann Ivey; parents, Charles William ‘Charley’ and Leila Webb Ivey; and 13 siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Kim (Steve) Fowler, Kelli Catanach, Krista Ivey; sons Kenneth(Jill) Ivey, Kirk (Towina) Ivey; sister-in-law, Bettie Wilson; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. Mr. Ivey was a veteran of the United State Navy, a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, and retired from United Insurance Company of America.

Funeral Services will be held Friday March 18, 2022 at 1PM with Thomas Summerford officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday March 17, 2022 at the funeral home from 4pm-8pm.
