John Martin Jamison Jr., of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at the age of 79. Born in Darby, Pennsylvania, on November 6, 1946, John lived a life marked by love, faith, dedication, service, and an enduring commitment to learning.

John proudly served in the United States Air Force, carrying with him the values of service and responsibility throughout his life. He was also a dedicated and hardworking employee of Eastern Airlines, where he built a career defined by commitment and perseverance.

Above all, John was a loving husband, devoted father, and faithful Catholic. He cherished his family and took great pride in his children. He was a continuous learner, always curious and interested in growing his knowledge and understanding of the world around him. His strong Catholic faith was a guiding force throughout his life, and he sought to live that faith through kindness, generosity, and service to others.

John will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Marie Jamison; his daughter, Natalie Tuitt; his son, Brian Jamison; his sister, Maureen Pomante; and his many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. John leaves behind a legacy of faith, hard work, devotion to family, and a lifelong love of learning.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul or to an educational institution of your choice, in keeping with John's commitment to faith, service, and education.

Visitation will be held at Wages & Sons Funeral Home in Stone Mountain, Georgia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Details regarding the visitation and Mass will be announced by the family.
