John Michael Mendy

John M. Mendy a loving family man, husband and father, passed on May 11th, 2020 at the age of 68 after battling Parkinson’s.

John was born on September 12th, 1951 to the late Besenty Karamel Mendy and Isatou Sambou in Banjul, The Gambia. He was a front office manager at Senegambia Beach Hotel for many years where he obtained the nickname John Senegambia due to his care for his employees and his dedication and love of his work.

He later moved to the U.S with his wife Elizabeth Ndene Mendy, son John-Micheal Mendy and daughter Victoria Boneca Jones. He loved reading and sharing his knowledge but, one of his favorite hubbies was Traveling and enjoying different countries and cultures.

He is survived by his wife, children, sister, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
