John Paul Weeks, Sr.

John Paul Weeks, Sr., age 87, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paula K. and Lowrey G. Weeks, as well as his beloved wife of fifty years, Alice Lynn Weeks. Mr. Weeks is survived by his children, Dana Cottingame of Dallas, TX, Lou Sams of Tallahassee, FL, Paula Barnett of Austin, TX, John Paul Weeks, Jr. and Sissy Routh, both of Lawrenceville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, John went on to serve in the United States Navy during World War II as a radio operator. After his service, John then went on to become a pioneer of the telecommunications industry in the United States. The family would like to thank all of Mr. Weeks' dear friends, particularly his cargiver, Tavaris Turner, for their abundance of support and love.
