Joseph Peter Cardarelli

Joseph P. Cardarelli, 92, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, April 14th, 2018. Born in Syracuse, NY, he followed his son to Georgia approximately 22 years ago. Joe was an Army Veteran from WWII, where he was awarded 5 medals for his service. He took pride in his work in the Human Relations Department at General Electric for 39 years and even did consultant work at Eagle Comtronics for a time following retirement. Those who knew Joe best, knew he was very passionate and dedicated in his faith. He used his talents as Church Organist for many years, while also serving on the Board of Trustees. Joe, also, loved a game of Bocce Ball!! And a good ol’ reminiscent conversation with his peers! He is survived by his wife: Lucy Cardarelli; one daughter, Joanne C. Cardarelli; and one daughter-in-law, Denis Cardareli. The couple lived for their children and 13 grandchildren: Melissa (Cardarelli) Walker and husband, Mike; Marcia (Cardarelli) Baker; Jennifer (Cardarelli) Roder, and husband, Tim; Joseph E. Brown, Joshua E. Brown; Howard W. Brown; Corey Cardarelli, and wife, Candy; Bonnie (Cardarelli) Jones; Aaron Cardarelli; Sandra (Cardarelli) Lore and Aaron Cardarelli. And their 11 great-grandchildren: Ashley, Andrew, Jacob, Kianna, Deven, David, Samantha, Celia, Amaya, Nicholas and Alexander. He is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Michael Cardarelli; parents, Augustino and Asunta Cardarelli; three sisters, Vincentina, Lydia and Hazel and two brothers, Ray and Peter. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 18th, 2018 at 11:00 am at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel. Intermit will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park.
