Joseph Frances Gebo

Joseph Francis “Joe” Gebo, age 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early morning hours on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the Clary Center in Toccoa, Georgia. He was born on April 14, 1928, in Worcester, Massachusetts. He was the third child of his parents Edward Everett Gebo and Anna Ward Gebo. He shared 56 married years with his beloved wife, Barbara Gemborys Gebo. Together they raised three children: Deborah Anne Fulbright, Michael Patrick Gebo, and John Paul Gebo. Joseph loved his country and served in the Korean War from 1951-1953. He was an avid hunter and gardener. He loved sports and on any given Saturday afternoon, he could be seen and heard watching The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame Football. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Wanda Gebo, and his brother Edward Everett Gebo. Joseph is survived by his sister Adeline Staveley, daughter Deborah Anne Fulbright, and son-in-law, Tony Edward Fulbright; Son, Michael Patrick Gebo : Son, John Paul Gebo and sister-in-law Kimberly Black Gebo. Grandchildren include: Rory J. Winsor, Meghan Wilson, Crystal Fulbright, Sade Hansen, Maureen Gebo, Joseph Francis Gebo II, and Abigail Gebo: Along with Great-Grandchildren-Ava Mosley, Jones Wilson, and Fitz Wilson. . Funeral Services will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
