Joseph Augustus Loew Jr.

Joseph Augustus Loew, Jr. (Jon) was born on Oct. 27, 1943 in Biloxi, Ms. He passed away peacefully at his home on May 25, 2021. Jon was a loving and loyal husband to Nancy for 48 years. He was an Army veteran. Jon graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree. He taught Botany at Dekalb Community College. Jon was an avid outdoors man, identifying and collecting native plants and shells, and a huge UGA football fan. He dearly loved all the dogs that he and Nancy had. There will be a graveside service at East Armuchee Baptist Church near La Fayette, GA at later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of one’s choice.
