Joyce Lamerle Pounds

Joyce LaMerle Pounds passed away March 8 at 3:52pm.

Ms. Pounds was born February 7, 1926 in Fairfax, Alabama to Hobart & Mary (Lamb) Sanders.

She attended Valley High School, graduating in 1944 before moving to Atlanta around 1946. She married Robert Pounds (Died July 1973), worked various jobs and retired from Mori Luggage.

She is survived by one daughter, Angela Pounds McDonald (Chaz McDonald), three grandsons: Joshua McDonald (Kim Yoder Mcdonald), Jacob Leazer and Isaac Leazer, Five Great – Grandchildren: Aidan McDonald, Emma McDonald, JC Westfall, Audrey McDonald and Cameron Leazer. She was a faithful Christian last attending Mountain Park First Baptist.
