Julia Kate McClure, lovingly known as “Judy,” age 84, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on March 13, 2026. She was born on December 17, 1941, in Mobile, AL.
Judy was a woman remembered as a truly beautiful soul, whose presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She lived a life rooted in faith as a devoted Roman Catholic and was known for her strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family. Throughout her life, Judy devoted herself first as a homemaker and later worked in market research. No matter the role, she gave of herself fully, always placing the needs of others before her own. She had a profound impact on those around her—bringing joy to many, while also challenging others in ways that helped them grow. To her family, Judy was a central figure—someone who, despite life’s challenges, remained steadfast in her care and service to those she loved. She created a life where her family was supported, guided, and deeply cared for.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ellis Lamar McClure; her mother, Elise Bertha McClure; and her brother, Charles I. McClure. Judy is survived by her loving family, including her sisters, Marie McClure McNally and Mollie McClure Patrick; her former husband, Daniel Hamryka; children, Christopher D. Hamryka, Russell A. Hamryka, Dr. Bonnie Susan Hamryka Tiell, and Donald West Hamryka, DVM; ex daughter-in-law, Pauline Brittan; daughters-in-law, Freda M. Spain Hamryka and Helen Horner Hamryka; son-in-law, Greg Tiell; cousin, Craig Fievet, DDS; Granddaughters, Danielle Brook Hamryka Freeberg (Drew), Sarah M. Hamryka Ellington (Matthew), Emily Elise Hamryka Stephenson (Matthew), Grace Montrillau Hamryka, Kimberly Elise Tiell Griepentrog (Jack) and Katie Tiell; Grandsons, William Hamryka, DVM (Rachel) and Richard Hamryka; Great Grandchildren, Aurora Delila Freeberg, Scarlett Nova Ellington, Conley Jeffery Griepentrog and Samuel Watson Hamryka; Nephews, Christopher Craig Patrick (Suzanne) and Dylan Lamar Patrick; Niece, Samantha McNally Berry.
A visitation will be held at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046, on March 25, 2026, from 5:00- 8:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Matthew Catholic Church in Winder, GA, on March 26, 2026, at 11:00AM with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Gwinnett Memorial Park, 925 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA.
