Junior Hix

Junior Hix aged 93 of Stone Mountain departed from this earthly realm to join his Lord and Savior on Tuesday June 13, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmon I. Hix Sr. and Thelma Buice Hix, and by his wife of 67 years Annette Driggers Hix, daughter Nan Lee Hix, Brother Don Hix, and Sister Louise Hix Pittard. Mr. Hix was a member and deacon of Corinth Baptist Church for over 51 years; he retired from the Dekalb County Police Department with over 29 years of service. He is survived by his son Tim Hix of Monroe, and daughter Deborah (Alvin) Long of Madison, Grandson Pastor Marty (Missy) Jacobs, Great Grandchildren, Chris Shelton, Maddy Farol, Jackson, Jordan, and Josie Jacobs and Baby Jules. Great-Great Granddaughter Braelyn Farol. Home going services are schedule for 1PM Thursday June 15, 2023 at The Wages and Sons Stone Mountain Chapel 1040 Main Street Stone Mountain Georgia 30083 with Reverend Paul Pittard, Reverend Don Richards, and Pastor Marty Jacobs, officiating. Interment will follow at the Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain. The family will receive friends from 11AM to 1PM on Thursday June 15, 2023 at the Wages and Sons Funeral Home Stone Mountain Chapel
