Karen Elaine Rittelmeyer

September 29, 1958 — January 7, 2025

Karen Elaine Rittelmeyer, 66, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and generosity.

Born to Mary and Malcolm Dagley on September 29, 1958, Karen grew up as a beacon of kindness and courage, embodying a selflessness that touched everyone in her path. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of laughter, compassion, and an unshakable faith in God. Karen had a remarkable sense of humor and a heart big enough to embrace the world. Whether she was sharing the gospel of Christ in unconventional and challenging settings or simply brightening a room with her radiant smile, Karen was a light to all around her. Her love for the Lord and His people was unwavering, even in the face of adversity, and her faith inspired everyone blessed to cross her path.

An artist and published writer, Karen had an adventurous spirit that led her to incredible experiences. From skydiving to mission trips to Romani camps and traveling the Amazon River, she lived boldly and with purpose. She also found joy in serving others, mentoring troubled children, working with special needs adults at Creative Enterprises, and opening her home and heart to anyone in need of God’s love.

Karen is survived by her loving husband, David; her children Christopher, Jonathon, and Andrea; her seven grandchildren Alyssa, Kinsey, Zoey, Karlee, Kaelyn, Antonía, and Jordana; and four great-grandchildren Ezra, Emery, Ellis, and Luka; and her siblings, Dave and Kathy. She is reunited in Heaven with her parents, her sisters Jeri and Beth, and her beloved son Joshua, who passed before her.

Karen’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, January 18, at 2 PM, at Glory City Church in Suwanee, GA. Her family invites all who were touched by her love and kindness to join them in honoring her memory and celebrating a life well-lived. Karen marked this world with her love, faith, and compassion. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
