Kenneth Wayne Gillespie, affectionately known as “Dizzy,” “Kenny,” and “Big G,” passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 72.

Born on May 21, 1954, in Atlanta, Georgia, Kenneth was a lifelong Georgian who most recently called Norcross home. He graduated from Hapeville High School and went on to live a life filled with music, family, friendship, and creativity.

Kenneth was a talented musician, mechanic, and transporter whose passions reflected his energetic and curious spirit. He loved singing, writing songs, and playing guitar, finding joy in sharing music with others. He was equally at home restoring old cars, attending car shows, bowling, and capturing memories through photography. He was also active in bowling leagues and was a member of NOPI. A man of Methodist faith, Kenneth lived with a positive outlook and a generous heart.

Those who knew Kenneth remember his strength, love, patience, and warmth. He made his family feel loved, proud, and appreciated, and he had a remarkable ability to find the good in every situation. Whether facing challenges or celebrating life's victories, Kenneth's optimism and steady presence brought comfort to those around him.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, William Charles Gillespie, and his mother, Charlsie Weaver.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Suzanne Gillespie; his son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Natasha Gillespie; his stepson, Eric Manley; his grandchildren, Waverlynn Gillespie and Wayco Gillespie; his stepmother, Susan Gillespie; his sister, Bonnie Gillespie; his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Peggy Gillespie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Kenneth's warmth, creativity, and unwavering ability to see the good in others will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

A celebration of Kenneth's life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046, (770) 277-4550.
