Kenneth M. Meek Jr.

Kenneth Meuborn Meek Jr. October 25, 1940 - March 19, 2012 Resident of Stone Mountain After a courageous battle with cancer, Ken passed away peacefully at Embracing Hospice in Snellville. Ken was born and raised in Atlanta and graduated from Decatur High School. Ken was a salesman, working for Don Swan Paper, Southeastern Paper and eventually opened his own company, Ken Meek, Inc. selling paper goods to area merchants. He was one of three children born to the late Kenneth Meuborn Meek Sr and is survived by his mother Ellie A. Meek, one son, Kenneth R. Annie Meek, two daughters, R. Dawn Daryle Ferguson and Michelle M. Charles Bennett, a brother, James H. Mary Meek, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Ken loved listening to hymns, golfing, laughing, being with his family, having fun with friends. Ken was also preceded in death by a sister Gloria Garlick. Ken touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, March 22, 2012 12:00 PM at the Wages & Sons Funeral Home in Stone Mountain, GA. A Memorial service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 PM
