Krista Lynn Fleischman

September 16, 1954 — June 5, 2017

FLEISCHMAN (Nickerson), Krista - passed away peacefully June 5, 2017 from heart failure due to complications of a long, hard fought battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY to Dr. John "David" and Yvonne (LeBrocq) Nickerson of Halifax, Nova Scotia on September 16, 1954. They, along with her brother, David "Kerry" Nickerson, resided in Atlanta, GA during her younger years and she went on to earn her degree from Baylor University. She was a loving wife to Louis Michael "Mike" Fleischman, III for 36 years. After meeting in Miami, she and Mike married and moved back to Georgia where she was a wonderful, devoted, and compassionate mother to their three children. She adored her children, loved watching them succeed, and always did everything she could to ensure their happiness. She loved the beach, talking with her friends/family, her cat(s), and the Braves. She never met a stranger and, like her own mother, saw only the good in everybody. In addition to her husband Mike, she is survived by and will be deeply missed by their three children, David (Kristie), Lisa (Tom), and Jennifer "Jenny"; her father, John "David" Nickerson, brother, David "Kerry" (Joanna) Nickerson and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by and surely chatting non-stop in Heaven with her mother, Yvonne. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to Wages and Sons, Lawrenceville, GA. A private service will be held for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
