Kyoichi A. Watanabe Dr.

Dr. Kyoichi A. Watanabe, age 80 of Stone Mountain, GA passed away April 7, 2015. Dr. Watanabe was a research scientist who dedicated his life to finding cures for various diseases, cancer in particular. He is survived by children, Shauna L. Esposito (Ronald Esposito), Kate A. Watanabe, Kenneth A. Watanabe (Thea Gee Watanabe), Kim W. Cohen (Kenneth Cohen), Kelly Bedford (Daniel Bedford), Katharine Watanabe, grandchildren, Kristina R. Esposito, Nicholas T. Esposito, Emi Cohen, Risa Cohen, Seiji Cohen, John William Bedford, Keiko Bedford, Midori Bedford, Luciana Roberts, Juliana Roberts. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday April 14, 2015 at 11:00 am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Father Greg Kenny serving as celebrant. Burial at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Wages and Sons Stone Mountain Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Private Foundation that he created, “The Kyoichi A. Watanabe Family Foundation, Inc.” This Foundation is dedicated to support and promote scientific research regarding cancer and other serious diseases. This Foundation also donates to The Krystyna Lesiak Fund, an endowment fund within the Polish American Health Association, Inc. located in Washington, D.C.
