Larry Allen Woodgeard, 71, passed away on April 1, 2026, in Bethlehem, Georgia. Born on December 8th, 1954, in Columbus, Georgia, Larry was the youngest of four children, the son of Mary Lois Grimm and Mack Leo Woodgeard.
Larry was a brilliant software and hardware engineer. He held a patent for voice technology that was the first computerized voice response system used by the public. His curiosity and intelligence shaped both his professional life and his personal passions. He had a creative mind and an artist's heart, finding joy in drawing and painting and expressing himself through art. Those who knew Larry will remember his sharp mind, his quiet creativity, and his generous spirit.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Jessica Binkley, Kathryn Lee, and his grandsons, Aaron and William. His sister Sue Hart, brother Harley Woodgeard, and many loved ones whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Aaron Woodgeard, who passed away in 2013, his parents, Mary and Mack Woodgeard and his brother, Ron Woodgeard.
Larry's life will be remembered for his intelligence, his creativity, and the kindness he showed to others. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the art, knowledge, and generosity he shared with the world.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Larry’s life on Wednesday, April 8th, from 3-6 pm at the Gwinnett Wages and Sons funeral home.
