Leslie Angelich Derby

January 28, 1980 — June 1, 2022

Leslie Angelich Derby died suddenly on June 1st, 2022 at the young age of 42.  Leslie was a caring and dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her beloved family, husband Tom Derby and three precious children, Annabel, Juliette, and Max; her parents, George and Terry Angelich; her siblings, David Angelich, Regina Carlson, and Mary Youmans; and many dear friends.

While Leslie’s life was much too short, the people who knew her knew the quality of her life greatly exceeded the quantity. She was a truly sweet soul who always put others before herself. It brought her joy to bring joy to others, particularly her family. She most loved being a mother. There was no place she would have rather been than with her children. As a mother, she was quick to offer positive affirmations, was emotionally attuned, and was involved in their many everyday activities. Her children describe her as hilarious, fun, and amazing. She was generous, empathic, and quick-witted.   She was a talented artist in many respects, with painting, interior design, and event planning. Words cannot describe our loss and how terribly she’ll be missed.

Memorial services will be held on June 6th at 2 pm at Saint Brigid Catholic Church in John’s Creek, GA.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a cause that was very important to Leslie, March for Our Lives.
